Twitter, now known as X, is an American social media platform founded in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. It enables users to post and interact with short messages called tweets. In 2022, Elon Musk acquired the company, leading to significant changes including a rebranding to X in 2023.
