Cursor (computing)
In computing, a cursor is a visual indicator of position and focus on a display, commonly appearing as a text insertion caret or as a pointer that echoes movements of a mouse, touchpad, or stylus. Cursors are defined and controlled by operating systems, terminal control sequences, and web standards, and they also denote control structures in database systems. Their form, behavior, and accessibility can be customized by software and users.
